Villa Louis
Unexpect treat at the heart of Marseillan
Sleeps 6
JUST THREE SUMMER WEEKS LEFT in 2011
This villa was built for a former mayor of the village. And it still stands at the very core of Marseillan life.
From the breakfast terrace, you can watch the port waking up for the day, smell the fresh croissants and baguettes from the local bakers, see the cafe owners hosing down their terraces, the shopkeepers and gallery owners setting out their wares and Commandant Marius preparing to take out the first pupils at his boating school.
Indulge yourself with a glass of the award-winning Chardonnay of Marseillan, produced by the owner of the villa, a local vigneron, as the villagers gather at the bouledrome to play their time honoured games of petanque.
In the evening, glance through the dining room window at the moonlight reflected in the still waters of the port and toast the gentle tinkling sounds of the rigging of sailing boats moored close by.

This spacious bungalow has a bright and airy livng room salon and dining area, with windows facing south, east and north for all day sunshine.
Two sets of double doors open onto the raised terrace - the perfect spot for breakfast and for watching the comings and goings of the port across the hedges, trees and laurier rose bushes of the patio.
A sunny kitchen and morning room overlooks another patio. The good sized and sunny breakfast area is well equipped with a new oven, four ring hob, microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge-freezer. A kitchen table and chairs for a quiet moment over the first coffee of the day!

Three comfortable bedrooms 2 doubles and one twin, are tastefully furnished with plenty of storeage space.
A large smart bathroom with bath, and modern washbasin vanity unit also has plenty of shelf space for the family. There is a seperate wc.
An extra shower in the garage is ideal for washing the sand from your feet and hair after a day at the beach.
The laundry room beyond the pantry has a washing machine and access to the garden. The house has a secure garage, and plenty of room to park extra cars on the driveway.
The most centrally situated property, Villa Louis is 40 yards from the shopping centre, with its Champion supermarket, Post Office and the newsagents.
The Tuesday morning market begins to wind itsway into town from the boulevard Lamartine at the top of the street, and the small boutiques, hairdressing salons and specialist shops are just a couple of minutes walk away.
In Summer, visit your next door neighbour to buy fresh fruit grown on her own land.
Behind the house, a small grove of tall old pine trees shields the villa from the shops.
A dozen super restaurants within three minutes of the house, the village bouledrome just yards away and the port on your doorstep for a boat trip out onto the Thau lagoon of the Mediterranean.
The local wine merchant has 500 labels to choose from, and the owner of the house sells his wines in the village cellars just 300 yards along the quayside. Sailing, tennis and cycling to work up an appetite and some stunning walks to round off an excelent meal. the theatre - great jazz evenings - is 100 yards away and the nearest bakery just 50 paces from your table.
